Meet Tilman Schimmel (pictured above), economist, soon-to-be fully fledged lawyer and thoroughly nice guy from near Stuttgart, Germany. Tilman was our guest on the 1st 2011 edition of the Chanters Lodge Experience with the Milli Jam Ingredient featuring George da Soulchild, our Sunday night radio show that airs on Zambezi Radio 107.7 fm weekly between 20.30 and 21.30 hrs. 107.7 fm is Livingstone’s best loved local radio station with a listener radius of about 70 kms, strong enough to be heard in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Kasane in Botswana.

Tilman was staying at Chanters Lodge for a week, prior to travelling to Johannesburg, South Africa, to take up a 3 month internship with LindsayKeller top attorneys – ‘solution orientated thinking’ quote/unquote! Tilman told listeners that he was very much looking forward to the challenge, though somewhat concerned about the reported dangers of life in Johannesburg. This attachment forms part of the law degree course that he has nearly completed at Eberhard-Karls University, Tubingen.

Still young, Tilman loves to travel which he’s been doing since age 16 and we were surprised to hear that he’d already visited 73 different countries! He professed to love South Africa, Nepal and Seychelles the most. Couldn’t differ with him on the last one, having spent two and a half happy years in Seychelles – ‘The Islands of Love’ – as Food and Beverage Manager, Reef Hotel back in the 70’s.

“Are you married”? Milli Jam asked Tilman. He replied he was not, but told listeners he had a girlfriend back in Stuttgart, a teacher, unable to travel to Zambia with him as she was ‘dogsitting’. A phrase, I suspect, not too easily understood by our Zambian listeners! He was very much hoping she’d be able to join him for a while during his time in Johannesburg.

The music on the show was good. After our opening theme by Aggro Santos we spun ‘Immabadboy’ a single by Mr.Vezzy featuring Mugeez from R2Bees the Ghanian outfit. Vezzy is a DJ on Qfm one of Lusaka’s hot radio stations and this single’s making waves – “brought to you by Richard Chanter via Twitter” I added! We played it back to back with Sean Kingston’s ‘Party All Night’ which Zambians were still doing as our show aired! George’s Zambian selection was ‘old and new’ – the old – Black Muntu’s ‘Chibzibe’, the new – B’flow’s ‘No More Kawilo’. I really liked that one, “what does it mean”? I enquired. ‘No more being single’ I was told, though as usual there appeared to be some debate!

Milli Jam wanted to know what activities Tilman had done or had planned while he was in Zambia. It was clear that he was very interested in the local culture and had even been playing ‘solo’, a traditional game, in Livingstone Zimbabwe Market with local characters. The following day he had a trip planned to Zimbabwe to see ‘the other side’ of Victoria Falls, and the day afterwards a visit to Botswana on the Chobe 1 day safari offered by Chanters Lodge. Tilman has a keen interest in animals and wildlife.

The music continued with ‘Fireworks’ by Alicia Keys ft Drake and the ‘still at number one in UK’ Matt Cardle’s cover of the Biffy Clyro number ‘When We Collide’ (originally ‘Many Of Horror’ – gotta be one of the weirdist pop titles ever!) We gave away the usual dinner for two – won by Lydia for rightly texting us that Tilman was from Germany and updated listeners on pop chart information from UK and USA, and this week Germany too in deference to Tilman.

“So you’re a qualified economist and soon-to-be fully fledged lawyer” Milli Jam observed to Tilman, “what sort of job would you like when your course is through”? After a pause for thought Tilman replied that he’d love to hold a post with an international company which afforded him the opportunity to travel. Great stuff – and I wouldn’t bet against this serious young man achieving his ambition.

Craig Brown & Abby Wills

Craig and Abby, pictured above, staying at Chanters Lodge, guested on the latest edition of our Sunday night radio show – the Chanters Lodge Experience with the Milli Jam Ingredient featuring George da Soulchild – which airs every Sunday night from 20.30 – 21.30 hours on Zambezi Radio 107.7 fm, Livingstone’s leading local radio station. It was the last show of 2010!

Craig’s a New Zealander, Abby’s English, and although not married they’re partners and currently live in Johannesburg, South Africa where Craig’s a consulting engineer with Mott MacDonald an employee-owned management, engineering and development consultancy serving the public and private sector around the world. “Do you work?” Milli Jam asked Abby. “No” she replied “I’m a lady of leisure in Johannesburg with a great social life and loads of friends, mainly because of work permit problems”. “That must be a a bit boring, wouldn’t you prefer to be working”? I chipped in. “Not in the slightest”! Was Abby’s instant reply which had us laughing.

Quite a lot of chat on the show was about rugby. Obviously we wanted to know from Craig, a former player with London Scottish, why New Zealand had never won the Rugby World Cup! Craig claimed that they had, in the 80’s, but Abby quickly scotched this idea by reminding him that South Africa didn’t feature then, so somehow it wasn’t a genuine victory! Nice one Abby!

Craig and Abby told listeners about their fascinating travels to both Cambodia and Rwanda earlier in the year with the Penguins Rugby Club, teaching rugby in these developing countries to disadvantaged youngsters. They’d been surprised at the amount of raw talent seen in both places. The Penguins is a ‘by invitation only’ club and you can read more about it by following the link above. What did surprise us was to hear that Abby had also been a rugby player when she was younger until injury forced an early retirement. We also had respect for Craig on learning that he’d recently completed the Paris Marathon in under 3.5 hours.

The music on the show was good, as usual. We got off to a flier with the Ghanain band R2Bees ft Wande Coal’s ‘Kiss Your Hand’ back to back with the awesome ‘Man Down’ from Rihanna’s latest smash album. George chose Petersen’s ‘Wanna Dance With You’ and Kelvin Mwesa’s ‘Wonderful Time’ for his two local tracks. Milli Jam chose Jamie Foxx with ‘Winner’ and Akon’s (imo horrible) ‘No Labels’. We also played ‘Many of Horror’ by Biffy Clyro to give listeners a feel for the UK Christmas No.1. I commented that our closing track Sean Kingston’s great ‘Party All Night’ (and sleep all day) was a good track for this time of year in Livingstone.

Craig and Abby told listeners about their one day safari to Chobe National Park in Botswana where they’d been lucky enough to see a pride of 8 lions – a record for our guests on that trip. This delightful couple had also enjoyed their helicopter flight over the Falls, as well as a sunset cruise and a morning river safari. Abby told listeners that on their last morning, the next day, she intended to bungee jump. (And she did!)

I took the chance to wish our listeners a belated Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2011, and also to thank the staff at the lodge for their extra-ordinary hard work during the holiday period. As we went on air the lodge was packed and for once the girls didn’t have too much chance to enjoy the show!

RIP Crystal Shaun

George Da Soulchild, co-host of our regular Sunday night radio show – The Chanters Lodge Experience with the Milli Jam Ingredient – writes about a new album release, and sadly the untimely premature death of a young Zambian music star:

K’millian’s new album ‘Escape’ on release

Local artiste Leo Moyo aka K’Millian has released his sixth studio album, titled Escape, under Runell’s Showdown Studios. K’millian whose previous release Triumph did not fare as well as his fans expected, explained that his latest project comes together with his new resolution to embark on live performances. In an interview with The Post newspaper, K’millian said his plan was to promote his new album in a unique style and to use live performances most of the time. He also said that he’s recruited female dancers to hype up the shows and he added that his new album addresses a number of issues including love. Escape is a 13 track album produced by Runell, Jerry D, Jerry Fingaz and K’millian himself, and the album can be found in all leading music stores across the country.

Crystal Shaun put to rest

Pictured above and born Webster Katongo Chilufya on September 4th 1983, popularly known by his stage name Crystal Shaun, died in his sleep on December 14th 2010. Crystal Shaun’s style could be described as tongue twisted and poetic ragamuffin in very fluent Bemba. His command of this poetry inspired me a lot and I’m sure it greatly inspired a lot of other Zambian musicians and music fans as well. I remember how we met in November 2000 and it just seems like a month ago. We quickly got along very well and went from strangers to friends, then to best of friends, and then to brothers as time passed by. Our love for music brought us even closer.

It’s not possible at this moment to count all the things that he did and the contributions that he made musically, but his personality was his greatest charm. Crystal Shaun was a nice, humble and respectful guy who loved to tell stories and laugh with his friends and family. He was a peaceful person, a person that you could rely on when you needed him. A hard worker who relentlessly worked hard to push himself and his friends forward.

He worked with artistes including K’millian,Ty2, Runell, Exile, Leo Muntu, Jk, and Mc Wabweno just to mention a few. His burial was attended by almost all Zambian artistes both from the new school and old school while his music plays on, even as we celebrate his life and mourn his death. He leaves behind a wife and his 7 week old son, as well as family, friends and fans who feel robbed. Gone too soon Crystal Shaun you inspired us, you live on inside us, your memory’s alive with us

Rest in peace my brother and friend.

Lawrence Muleka – The Doc If You Like!

Meet Lawrence Muleka – DJ name ‘The D.O.C. – The Doc if you like’. Presenter of Breakfast Time, Monday to Friday on Zambezi Radio 107.7 fm, as well as a founder member of the exclusive band of presenters who’ve been with the radio station since its inception. The Doc (we do like!) was the most recent guest on our regular Sunday night radio show on the same frequency – The Chanters Lodge Experience with The Milli Jam Ingredient featuring George Da Soulchild. “Why did you invite Lawrence on to the show”? Milli Jam asked me at the start of the programme. “I wanted to know why he’s called ‘The D.O.C – The Doc if you like’.” I replied. “Well, why are you called that”? Milimo asked Lawrence. “I’m not really sure” was the totally unsatisfactory and unbelievable reply! Oh well!…..

It was a good show. We like to turn the tables on the 107.7 fm staff from time to time and Lawrence went straight from reading the news at 20.15 hrs, to the other side of the console at 20.30 hrs as we bombarded him with questions. Was he married? Yes very! How many children did he have? 3 – 2 girls and 1 boy. His eldest had just written her Grade 12. What was his training? Mass communications at ZAMCOM – no surprise there. What tribe did he belong to? Toka-Leya from Chief Mukuni. Lawrence told listeners that he’d spent a lot of time on the Copperbelt when he was younger – his dad had been a civil servant and subject to constant transfers before his retirement. The Doc had come to Livingstone as a DJ having spent time in sales for various companies and had established an outfit called ‘Vinyl Masters’ with Milli Jam – something I didn’t know. He’d joined Radio Mosi-O-Tunya, Livingstone’s very first local radio station, before being poached away to 107.7 fm when it opened in 2006.

The music on the show was good. ‘Miss Right’ by Ne-Yo went down well and Willow Smith’s strange ‘Whip My Hair’ with Nicki Minaj was fine, though not as good as the video by all reports. George chose two tracks by his friend, the late Crystal Shawn – the tender ‘Sweetest Temptation’ and his own duet with Shaun ‘Change For the Better’. George will write a blog about Crystal this week – he died, apparently from heart failure, last week age just 27, three months after his wedding, leaving behind a wife and a six week old baby. Really sad – George and he were very close. ‘Remember When’ by Alan Jackson and ‘The Silence’ by Alexandra Burke seemed to be appropriate follow ups.

The shock of the show came when Milli Jam asked The Doc which international presenter he most admired and Lawrence answered Eamonn Holmes. Eish! I wasn’t impressed! I still suspect it had something to do with Manchester Utd though this was denied at the time. Let me tell you we moved quickly on – after I’d expressed my total disgust! The Doc’s favourite music – hip-hop. Favourite stars? Drake and Eminem. Ambition? To have his own radio station. I had no arguments with that anyway!

Sandra Ammitzboll & Charlotte Hall

I’m lucky aren’t I getting to be on radio with all these cute young Scandanavian girls!? But, would you like to know what was the best thing about last Sunday’s Chanters Lodge Experience with the Milli Jam Ingredient featuring George da Soulchild, our regular Sunday night radio show which I co-host with these two great DJ’s? Well, apart from our two delightful Guests pictured above, Sandra and Charlotte from Sweden, it was the fact that after several months the lift was working to the studios located on the 6th floor of Livingstone’s tallest building. Funny though, I think I rather missed the climb! Or did!??!

On with the show! As mentioned our guests were Sandra and Charlotte, two students from Lund University in Sweden in their 3rd year of a degree course in social studies. They were taking a week off, staying at Chanters Lodge, having spent seven weeks in Chingola on the Copperbelt assessing the implementation of the UN Charter for Human Rights for Children. They had been interviewing grade 11 and 12 children and on the whole found that their rights were well looked after in Zambia. The girls talked of the rights to protection and participation amongst the 64 or so human rights for children mentioned in the charter. Awesome stuff!

Sandra and Charlotte told listeners they’d undertaken several activities since they’d been in Livingstone and raved about their breakfast visit to Livingstone Island, where they’d swum in Devil’s Pool and dangled over the edge of Victoria Falls. “Weren’t you scared”? We wanted to know. Terrified! They agreed, but they’d loved it! They’d also been to the new Arts Cafe in Livingstone where they’d watched dancing from around Zambia and had been roped into drumming and dancing themselves too! This wasn’t the only dancing they’d done since coming to town – on Friday night they’d hit the clubs and had a great time, they said! During their last few days of their visit they were toying with the idea of bungee jumping and/or a game drive – as you do!

The music was good as usual. ‘Christmas Lights’ by Coldplay was topical, and we dropped it back to back with ‘Love Letter’ by R Kelly. George featured his own music with two tracks by Kafuela ‘Your Smile’ and ‘Sky Is The Limit’. Great stuff George we all agreed! Milli Jam featured Justin Bieber’s ‘Latin Girl’ and the heavily censored ‘Run Away’ from the new Kanye West album. Rihanna’s ‘Man Down’ made our Swedish guests sit up and take notice and coupled with ‘Count On Me’ by Bruno Mars these were two of my ‘tracks of the moment’.

Did the girls have boyfriends back in Sweden? The guys wanted to know. Hesitation…..’not really’ seemed to be the answer. I, for one, didn’t believe that, or perhaps Swedish blokes are really slow! Ambitions? Sandra would like to work for an international outfit such as Save The Children, Charlotte seemed more interested in family therapy as a future career. Where would the girls like to be and what would they like to be doing 10 years from now? Married with loads of children they agreed!

What sports were the girls interested in? Dancing!

As usual we gave chart news, including the current top three singles in Sweden – all unpronouncable, as well as the top three in UK and USA. We greeted guests and staff alike and gave away our usual dinner for 2 to the first person to tell us where these lovely girls came from. Sweden of course was the sharp answer from Mohammed, who told us their names and what they were doing here too! Some people really want to come for dinner at Chanters Lodge!!

Up And Coming Gospel Artist Taonga Gets Double ‘Born & Bred’ Nomination.
Being nominated for the Born & Bred music and video awards may be considered a great achievement for any young artist seeking recognition on the Zambian music scene. 21-year-old Taonga Nyirongo has been nominated not for one, but two awards this year. Firstly in the Best Gospel Video category for his song Chikondi which is popular on ZNBC TV2.

Taonga’s second nomination is for Best Promising Artist category, something which he says is an achievement knowing the fact that he is yet to succeed in the music industry. Taonga who also presents gospel show on Muvi TV says the music indutry is on the raise and the Goverment and the business society should invest as it does in other countries to ensure the growth of the Industry. Other nominees for Born and Bred include JK, Slap D, Alfa Romeo, Roberto, Brothahood Crew, Judy and Petersen just to mention a few.

Born n Bred Awards are set for the 16 of this month and will be aired live on Both ZNBC and ZNBC TV2 @20:30.

Danny Takes Album Launch To RSA
Danny Siulapwa aka Danny Kaya is set to take his ‘Live’ album launch to South Africa under the the auspices of DJ Tabs Entertainment. Danny,said his decision to go to South Africa for a show on December 15 was due to popular demand. So if you’re in South Africa on the 15th December, just make sure you attend the show.

And for that matter, if you’re in Livingstone on Sunday evening, make sure you don’t miss the Chanters Lodge Experience on 107.7 fm at 20.30 hours – you might even win a dinner for 2 at the fantastic Chanters Lodge!

The Aussies Are Back!

No! Even though it’s Ashes time this isn’t a cricket reference! The headline refers to the three Australian ladies pictured above left to right – Judy Smetherham, Kerry Hegney and Di Rapson, appearing (with furry friends) for the second time on our weekly Sunday night radio show, The Chanters Lodge Experience with The Milli Jam Ingredient featuring George da Soulchild, which goes out live at 20.30 hours for an hour on Zambezi Radio 107.7 fm. The ladies’ first appearance was back in April 2009 on their last visit to Zambia. What brought them back? Well, when they were asked this on air, their smart reply was “we heard rumours Richard was looking much younger”! “Quite right too!” I said, while others just sniggered…

In fact the ‘girls’ were back in Livingstone for two weeks to do some of the things they hadn’t done on their last visit, including a microlight flight over the Falls, a swim in Devil’s Pool on Livingstone Island and a two night, three day visit to the Okavango Delta in Botswana, leaving from Kasane Airport the next day. They also planned to do the cheetah encounter and as usual visit Maramba Market and Zambian friends they’d made during their last stay. In a way more importantly, the ladies had come from Australia via the Copperbelt in Zambia where they’d delivered 400 school bags, and over 200 soft toys to children at Chiwawatala, Chankuta and Mishikishi Primary Schools. They had to get special permission from the airlines they used to carry all that excess luggage in such a good cause. Oh! and they brought some beanies too. “Beanies”? I hear you ask. Don’t know your Aussie slang do ya? Woollen hats in real English. I only knew the slang as the ladies kindly brought me the ‘Australian Slang Dictionary’! Allows me to be rude to the Aussie cricketers on TV in their own language.

The only tinge of sadness was the news that Mr Billy Mulonda, head of one of the families the ladies had been helping in Ndola had been struck by lightning and killed the day they were leaving the Copperbelt. We sent our deepest condolences. After the Copperbelt the ladies had spent time at Mfue Lodge in South Luangwa National Park and had had a great time, seeing loads and loads of different animals.

The music on the show was awesome and featured numbers from Aggro Santos, Bruno Mars and Cee Lo Green to get the party started. George chose Cray J with ‘Chipe’ for the first of his local tracks, and then Brothahood Crew with ‘If It’s Loving’. George himself featured on this track – as I mentioned last week he’s a locally famous singer by the name of Kafuela as well as a great DJ and technician. George was hot from a live rock show at a venue in Livingstone on Saturday afternoon organized by 107.7 fm. ‘Were you mobbed by young girls’? I wanted to know. ‘Of course’! Was the short answer. Milli Jam chose 112 with ‘Only You’ and Aliyah with ‘Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number’ for his tracks, after which we moved on to ‘Bottoms Up’ by Trey Songz featuring Nicki Minaj, ‘Love All Over Me’ by Monica and Jay Sean’s great ‘Break Ya Back’!

“What have you ladies been up to since the last time we saw you” Milli Jam wanted to know. Well, plenty was the answer. Judy had travelled to the UK and Paris, Kerry to Egypt, Turkey and Holland and Di to Bali. Di, who’d sadly lost her dad during this period, had also been to shows by Pink and Nickelback in Perth where these ladies live. “Noticed any changes in Livingstone and at Chanters”? The DJ’s wanted to know. “Plenty”! The girls replied – mentioning new rooms and the suite at Chanters, as well as Richard and Annastasia’s new offices. They’d seen that Livingstone boasted a new shopping mall.

As usual we gave away a dinner for 2 at Chanters Lodge with drinks to the first person this week who could tell us where these lively and funny ladies came from. Australia was the first answer we received by text from Karen. Result!

Isaac Mwanza & Mubiana Jeff Nalwendo

Our Guests on the latest edition of The Chanters Lodge Experience with The Milli Jam Ingredient, featuring George Da Soulchild, were Isaac Mwanza (left) and Mubiana Jeff Nalwendo pictured above. Isaac is IT Manager at Zambezi Radio 107.7 fm and Mubiana is Production and Programmes Manager. Bit incestuous you’re thinking, considering our regular Sunday night radio show goes out on their station? Maybe, but they guys were there for a purpose.

As well as being part of the management of the station both gentlemen are very popular local DJ’s! Isaac goes on air as DJ Chin Cavaly 2010 and Jeff is MJ Fabulous! This Saturday 4th December the guys are organizing a show in Livingstone for upcoming musicians where the young and talented can display their music to the fans. (This stirred memories for me as we used to do the same sort of thing at Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel on Folk Night, every Tuesday. A lot of older musicians in Zambia got their break on that show.) “Who’s starring for you”? I asked. “Locally it’s Kaufela” they replied, “but we’re bringing in BFlow from Lusaka, because we feel the fans should get value for the K15,000 per ticket they’ll be paying”. “Tell me about Kaufela” I continued. “George can tell you more” Isaac said. “It’s me” said George. “Yes” I said “you’re going to tell us about him”. “It’s me”! George said again, “I’m Kaufela”. Well, blow me down! I’d realised George was also a musician, but had no idea he was so well known on the local scene! MJ and Chin took the chance to thank all the many local companies that were helping to sponsor the show, including Chanters Lodge. The final line up of musicians had yet to be confirmed but it was announced that Milli Jam would be MC for the show!

Milli Jam wanted to know how Isaac and Mubiana had come up with their show business names. Isaac was reticent but said he changed his name every year and it was nothing to worry about. Mubiana said that at his father’s suggestion he had had used his initials, and it was the fans early on in his career at UNZAfm who’d added ‘Fabulous’. Mubiana is a graduate in Mass Communications from the University of Zambia and Isaac is expecting admission into the Copperbelt University next year to read computer studies. He’s already an expert in this field. MJ is famous for playing new numbers, Chin for hip-hop and r&b plus his chart knowledge which is legendary.

The music on the show was good but somehow drowned out by the noise! When DJ’s get together – and there were 5 in the studio including Tendai With An ‘i’ but not including me – they talk a lot. Anyway we played ‘Girls Fall Like Dominoes’ by Nicki Minaj, back to back with ‘So Alive’ by Skepta ft NDubz. Kaufela’s selection was ‘Hands Across The World’ by ONE8 the smash hit combination of R Kelly and loads of African artists including JK, a Zambian star. George coupled it with ‘Nibandani Ba Nzako’ from the new as yet unreleased K’Millian album. ‘Where are your friends when you need them’ was the translation. Milli Jam featured Rick Ross with ‘Aston Martin Music’.

Isaac and Mubiana briefed listeners about their roles at Zambezi fm as well as plans for the station’s new website and we gave away the usual dinner for 2 – won on this occasion by the manager of a rival local radio station! It was a good and informative show.

Zambian Music News – Sakala Bros & Petersen

George Da Soulchild, co-host and technical expert on The Chanters Lodge Experience, our regular Sunday night radio show on 107.7 fm in Livingstone, updates us on the latest news from the local music scene.

Sakala Brothers Still Going Strong
The Sakala Brothers (pictured above) have been invited to perform at an international music festival in Poland. In a statement released to the press, Moses Sakala mentioned that the duo and their band were invited by the European Centre for Music Festival, to be held in the Polish city of Lodz. He said the festival would run for two weeks.

“This is a great honour for Zambia. “In May, we delivered an award-winning performance at the Sacred Music Festival Gaude Mater in Czestochowa in Poland. The award recognised the Sakala Brothers as one of the top performers during the last 20 years of this festival,” he said. The team travelling to Europe also includes Baron Besa (guitar), Sam Zulu (drums) from the Airpower Band, Lawrence Banda (keyboards) and Samson Mwiche Silwimba (bass guitar).

Petersen Demands K350m From Zain
Zambian singer/ragga artist Petersen has demanded ZK350 million in damages from mobile service provider Zain (now Airtel) for the alleged illegal download of his song ‘Stoga’. According to a letter addressed to Airtel management, the K350 million should be paid within seven days, failure to which legal action would be instituted. Zambia Association of Musicians legal advisor Tresford Chali stated that the action by Zain to make the song available on their network without approval is contrary to the Copyright and Performance Act Chapter 06 of the Laws of Zambia and is therefore breaking the law.

Mukubesa Mundia aka Petersen also stated that once legal actions commenced, he would seek a court injunction restraining Zain from making the song available for its clients to download. ‘Stogas’ is Petersen’s latest satirical offering, receiving mixed reviews from local music enthusiasts.

Wonderful Review!

We get very excited with good reviews on TripAdvisor and here’s one of the latest!

We loved staying at Chanters! Richard personally picked us up from the airport (and waited around for us while we withdrew the wrong amounts of local currency and tried to change it into US dollars!) which was very kind. On our first evening of staying at the lodge, he asked us if we would like to appear on his local radio show, Zambezi FM! We were surprised but of course flattered!

Our room was spacious and cool, which was exactly what we needed. We didn’t worry about leaving our belongings lying around, nor did we fret about breaking any rules as Richard told us there were no rules, just to make ourselves at home! Every member of staff was so welcoming and hospitable, they just couldn’t do enough for you! We began our holiday at Chanters and didn’t want to move on. I’d certainly recommend it to anyone I know and I hope that at some time in the not-too-distant future, I’ll have the pleasure of returning.
