We have a group of 5 Chinese government delegates visiting us at the moment, led by John Xhang (pronounced Jhang). They stopped by Chanters Lodge on their way to Sinazongwe to attend the traditional annual Maliko Malende Lwiindi Ceremony. The ceremony is an annual festival of the Tonga people of southern Zambia. It is a thanksgiving ceremony which attracts people from around the country. It takes place at a Place called Gonde, near Chief Monze’s place in Monze District. Whilst in Livingstone our distinguished guests also took time out to do a few tours. Here are some pictures of their stay.
